Synthetic Lawns for Middle East Countries
Author: admin
People living in the Middle East always dream of having a luxurious evergreen lawn, but when they think about real lawns they immediately think about how to water and maintain them. It’s obviously difficult to have a real lawn in an Arabian country, but now things has changed, today many synthetic lawn companies has come up with great quality turfs that offers plenty of benefits and it also helps to preserve our earth! You’ll be really happy to know that today’s artificial grass are made with fade resistant technology and they always remain beautiful, and this faux lawns will be an evergreen sod!
No matter what kind of climate you have and no matter where you live, you are sure to be spell bounded with lasting greenery around your residence or hotel. Your country’s hot humid climate won’t spoil these faux grass as they are durable, they can also with stand lot of rough usage. It doesn’t matter if you live in a condo or apartment these dramatic looking artificial grasses can be installed in your terrace or veranda and it doesn’t need any watering. When it comes to lawn care and maintenance, companies ensure their clients with long term durability for their waterless grass.
Today’s synthetic grasses are purposely designed for dogs, and canines can enjoy the artificial lawns and at the same time they won’t be able to spoil or damage your artificial turf. The good news for artificial grass buyers is that these synthetic sods are very easy to clean when dogs or felines relieve themselves, but in case if you are using natural lawn, then the task of cleaning is a troublesome chore. With artificial lawns, you can use tools like pooper scooper and then wash off any residues with a hose. These artificial grasses don’t require to be cut and they don’t need pesticides or fertilizers, hence they are very much safe for kids to play over it.
Evergreen lawns will go well with the Arabian architecture, and if you’re running a hotel at a tourist destination city like Dubai, you need to definitely try artificial grass at least once. The synthetic lawns are also suitable to be laid around swimming pools as they are not slippery and they provide good grip. Very recently artificial grass comes in other colors like blue, red, white, yellow and black; these colorful fake lawns can be use for decorative exhibition; where you are organizing a party or any other social event these color artificial turf is very useful and make the surrounding attractive.

Be it summer, winter, or somewhere in between, the challenge of keeping your yard in tip top shape is an all-consuming, year-round proposition. And though you may be resigned to the yard work and high water bills associated with a beautiful lawn, it doesn’t have to be your reality. Wouldn’t you rather be enjoying a little time on any number of great Orange County golf greens or Irvine indoor putting greens instead? With a lawn by Southwest Greens constructed of the finest artificial grass in the industry, you’ll set yourself on a path whereby your only responsibility in terms of your lawn will be to enjoy its pristine nature year-round.
As a golf enthusiast who’s spent an ample amount of time on some of the finest Irvine, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach putting greens, you’re familiar with the synthetic turf we use for our lawns. It’s the same state of the art artificial grass you’ll find on all the Orange County backyard putting greens we’ve installed, and it promises to take your yard to an entirely new aesthetic level. Imagine a yard that calls absolutely no maintenance ever, leaving your weekends free for fun and relaxation. Say goodbye to your lawn tools, and turn the page on the weekly ritual of yard work. Begin a new ritual instead of enjoying a perfect lawn year-round without having to lift a finger.
Low to no maintenance also means significant savings on your water bills and, by extension, more money in your pocket. A lawn that never needs to be watered means significant savings on water bills, especially during the summer months when water bills are traditionally at their highest. And by conserving water you’ll be doing something good for the environment; particularly in states like California that have been hit hard by water shortages. Having a great looking lawn year-round has never been this easy, affordable, and maintenance free.
The ability to add not only beauty but also value to your home while creating less in the way of work for yourself is a proposition that qualifies as a no-brainer. Make your lawn the best looking lawn on your block every day of the year with artificial grass that looks even better than the real thing. Discover what many of your Orange county neighbors have discovered before you; namely that the key to a pristine lawn year round is not keeping it real.

My grass on the front yard is looks terrible, and i wanna to use artificial grass. Is this is legal?
If you live in a planned community with a HOA..home owner’s association, probably. These socialists believe everyone should look alike, think alike and if somebody disagrees, they should be censured or even taken to court.
If you are not so confined, then probably you could do it. To lessen neighbor reaction though, do some creative landscaping by raising the area on the sides and along the road and then plant nice shrubs thus blocking the view of the artificial grass from their view, leaving it only for you……..rather like a courtyard.
I guarantee there will be people who make snide comments. Personally I’d rather do some good 4 season landscaping in the front combining winter color plants, form, texture, etc and leave the green carpet out back where others can just……..kiss your grits when they see it.
Sports betting success often times comes down to knowing the personalities of the teams that are playing. One aspect of a team’s personality is how well they play on artificial turf compared to natural grass. Here’s an analysis I did of a game between Ball St. and Toledo that exemplifies how to use this information to make money:
This game matches up two teams that have put up a lot of points, and have given up a lot of points this season. Ball State is averaging 27 points on offense, while averaging giving up 28 points on defense. Toledo is giving up even more points on defense, 29 per game, while “only” averaging scoring 23 points per game.
Ball State has managed to cover 6 out of 9 games this year, even though they have a lousy 3-7 SU record. But their ATS record doesn’t include a game that they lost SU to N. Dakota St. For accuracy sake, let’s count this game against Ball St., making their “real” ATS record 6-4.
But here’s an interesting fact relating to tonight’s game. Ball St., who plays their home games on grass, has a surprisingly great record playing on artificial turf. In their last 10 games, Ball St. is 8-2 ATS on artificial turf, including SU upsets against Miami (OH), E. Michigan, N. Illinois (a game where Ball St. was a 28-point dog), and W. Michigan (a game where Ball St. was an 11 1/2-point dog).
Ball State has beaten the line by a whopping 17 points per game! And all of these upsets happened when Ball St. was playing away on artificial turf.
On the other hand, Ball St. has played 10 road games on natural grass since 2002, and they’ve lost 9 out of 10 SU, and are only 4-6 ATS on grass playing away from home. Do you see a pattern here? Do you think maybe Ball St.’s team is more suited for playing on artificial turf than on grass?
Even against #2 Michigan, Ball State QB Nate Davis and speedy wideout Darius Love had big games, with Davis throwing for for 250 yards, and Love having over 100 yards in receiving, including over a 17 yard average per catch. There’s no reason that Davis and Love shouldn’t have a similar game against Toledo, a team that’s averaged giving up over 400 total yards per game. The fact that this game is being played on artificial turf
The bottom line on this game is that Ball State has a legitimate chance to win outright. The fact that they’re getting 5-points may be a bonus.
The downside is that Ball St. was creamed by Toledo each of the last two seasons, losing in 2005 by a score of 34-14, and losing in 2004 by a score of 52-14. I know this is 2006, not 2004 or 2005, but when you look at a recent history that’s been so one-sided, you can see why everybody expects Toledo to win this game. The end result is that these factors tend to even out, with only a slight edge going to Ball St.
I’d lean to Ball State to cover with Ball St. upsetting Toledo 34-31. But again, keep in mind, that there is nothing to make me think that this is a very high probability play.
Ball State actually DID upset Toledo in this game, winning 20-17. Just by understanding Ball St.’s record on artificial turf, people interested in sports betting might have made a lot of money betting on this game.

Fake Grass is Growing
Author: admin
With an increasing awareness of the importance of water conservation, many people are looking for alternatives to natural grass. Water restrictions, upkeep, and difficulties in growing natural lawn are just some of the reasons why there is a growing demand for a synthetic surface that can replace natural grass. A product that looks like grass, and has all of the benefits of natural grass, yet without any of the mowing, watering, or maintenance is proving to be the perfect answer to difficult areas in a garden or sports area.
Synthetic grass, also called astroturf, artificial grass, or fake grass, has come a long way from the plastic looking grass seen on 1970s TV shows. Nowadays synthetic grass is serious business and the new synthetic grasses really do look and feel like real grass. Sure the new synthetic surface does not look exactly the same, but it looks real enough to make it very difficult to tell the difference without closer examination.
Traditionally the main type of outdoor artificial grass has been a short pile, carpet like product that requires a sand infill to make it durable. This grass is often seen on tennis courts or in playgrounds at kindergartens. Whilst the short pile grass remains popular for its durability and value for money, the new long pile grass is proving to be very popular for its grass like characteristics and close resemblance to real lawn. The new synthetic product can be up to 40mm (over 2 inches) in height and is made from polyethylene fibres which are woven into a rubber backing similar carpet, to produce a very strong and durable product.
An increasing number of synthetic grasses have even been approved by FIFA for use in the surfacing of football fields, with the long pile grasses being softer and allowing athletes to slide without getting carpet burns, and yet still providing traction underfoot. Often the new synthetic grasses have a thin layer of rubber granules or sand trapped within the base of the fibres to provide a cushioning effect. For maximum comfort artificial grass can be installed over an impact absorbing rubber base similar to that used for Olympic running tracks or found as under surfacing around play equipment.
The new synthetic lawn is also being installed at home particularly in areas where home owners simply do not have the time or resources to do all that is required to achieve a lush natural lawn or on a balcony. In a garden setting, synthetic lawn can be perforated to let rain through and to reduce the impact on nearby trees and plants. It also has the advantage of being able to taken up and re-installed in a different area.
Artificial grass can be installed directly over a number of bases depending on application; including dirt, compacted road base, wetpour rubber base or concrete. It can be fixed in place by nailing it to a surrounding timber border, or by pegging it to the ground. Often the weight of sand and rubber infill may be enough to hold it securely in place.
Good quality synthetic grass is expensive and that remains a hindrance to its growth. Yet in many instances the expense is outweighed by the advantages. There is no doubt that the demand for synthetic grass will continue to grow.
Next time you walk past lush green lawn that appears to be too good to be real, take a second look. It may well be that its not.

(Note:
Some synthetic turf companies’ continue to sell the wrong grass to homeowners. The ‘football field grass’ in question was designed and engineered specifically for sport fields and fails to meet the current needs for landscape and leisure use. The process of installing this turf calls for tons of black rubber crumb as an infill installed between the blades of grass. Rubber crumb has been shown to be flammable and toxic. Kids using this turf for recreation may be exposed to harmful fumes from the recycled tires.
You might ask, how can this happen? A few years ago some companies’ started experimenting using ‘football field grass’ for something other than sports stadiums. There hope was for a whole new market to open up and the ‘football field grass’ would cross-over and work just as well in the average homeowners backyard. The marketing worked as planned, but the product did not. This idea was a disaster for consumers. They were sold on the notion that there new synthetic lawn would last 25-30 years with little or no maintenance. They were told it would be visually appealing and long lasting for years to come. A premium price was put on the turf as it was marketed as the preferred choice of the National Football League.
After all, if big 300 pound football players trample all over it and it rebounds, it must be the perfect choice for your home. There was one problem. When synthetic turf was designed for athletic fields including N.F.L. stadiums, they intentionally designed a blade and fiber system that was very sparse. Engineers created a wide gap between individual blades, on purpose, to allow for massive amounts of crumb rubber to be packed into it. The rubber crumb acted as the perfect cushion for athletes, thus preventing concussions and other serious knee and joint injuries. What was a breakthrough for sports fields and athletes turned out to be bomb for homeowners.
Upon installation of football field grass in one’s yard, a chief complaint from consumers is that when they look down on there new lawn they see mostly a black rubber crumb lawn instead of green blades of grass. This isn’t surprising considering massive amounts of rubber crumb are used during the installation process. It looks like an invasion of billions of black ants in your lawn. When children play on the grass, the crumb rubber gets all over the place, in kids shoes, hair, and for toddlers, possibly in there mouth. The lack of density with field grass is an asthetic problem when trying to use it on homes when a plush green lawn is preferred. Also, don’t expect your new field style synthetic turf to be little or no maintenance, as the sales consultants claim when they sell this stuff.
This is a big problem if you have pets. Consumers are lead to believe this grass is pet friendly. It is touted as the perfect pet grass, recommended for installations in dog-runs, backyards and kennels. The companies’ message is clear that dog urine is fine for ‘football field grass’ and urine will pass right through the backing into the sub-base. Unfortunately, there is little evidence showing that urine and sports grass are compatible. No such testing was ever done and it’s hard to imagine that during the design stages for synthetic sport fields, testing for urine on turf was a priority. The verdict is still out whether or not dog urine will destroy synthetic grass over time, but the facts are certainly in on recycled rubber crumb and pet urine.
In a short amount of time, even with light pet use, the permeable rubber crumb in ‘football field grass’ absorbs pet urine and before you know it, you have an extreme odor problem in and around your backyard lawn. Crumb rubber is 81.82% porous and is the perfect environment for germs, mold and odors to flourish. The thick pile of rubber crumb quickly becomes a breeding ground for dangerous bacteria, some of which has the potential to cause serious skin infections. Companies’ selling this ‘football field grass’ admit that 75% of there customers are dog owners and acknowledge most of this group purchase for the doggie benefits.
Field grass is the wrong turf for residential use and clearly should not be sold as a pet friendly alternative to natural grass. It is clear that in a growing industry where there are numerous benefits to the latest versions of landscape synthetic grass, it is unfortunate that older sports varieties give synthetic grass in general, an inflated perception about it’s price and a deflated feeling about it’s value. This is simply not true. The good news is that current technology has never been more advanced for residential synthetic grass and we now have more quality products than ever before at affordable prices. Cleaner and safer infills that are non-absorbent are now available and highly recommended as an alternative to black crumb rubber. The claims about synthetic grass being pet friendly are absolutely true with the proper infills which do not absorb external elements.
Do your homework and stick to synthetic turf manufacturers and products specifically engineered for home use. Be wary of pushy sales people who will tell you anything to get you to sign a contract. But what about you homeowners stuck with football style synthetic grass with billions of black rubber granules oozing odors out of your lawn? There is some good news. Removal of most of this crumb rubber is possible. With a high-pressure vacuum system and an experienced crew familiar with turf rejuvenation, replacing your infill with a greener, cleaner, and safer material is now possible.
